Life at 905

Welcome to the home of Air Force ROTC Detachment 905, selected as the best detachment in the Northwest Region for 2007-2008, making us one of the top 8 AFROTC Detachments in the nation!

Detachment 905 is hosted at Washington State University located in Pullman, WA and holds established cross-town agreements with both University of Idaho in Moscow, ID and Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, ID. We are currently training approximately 135 officer candidates who will become Second Lieutenants in the world's best Air Force upon graduation.

The cadet corps is composed of distinguished college students who are carrying on the tradition, pride, and honor of Det 905, and above all actively pursuing a commission in the United States Air Force. They meet the rigorous standards of the both the University they attend and AFROTC. In addition to academic excellence, the cadets are highly active within the community; many serve in various community organizations, and the vast majority of the cadet corps are active members in Arnold Air Society, Detachment 905’s own national professional honorary service. Arnold Air Society was rated the #1 student organization at WSU in 2006, #1 Philanthropist in 2008, and as of April 2012, Arnold Air Society is also the #1 campus of 400 organizations at the University of Idaho!

Our training scope includes physical, academic, and professional excellence to prepare the cadets for the Active Duty Air Force and today’s demanding professional world. In addition to the one of a kind professional training each cadets receives, cadets build a strong sense camaraderie, leadership, and teamwork.
